Ingredients:
For the dough:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup milk
4 tablespoons melted butter (plus more for brushing)
For the filling:
4 tablespoons soft butter
½ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
For the glaze (optional but yum):
½ cup powdered sugar
1–2 tablespoons milk or cream
A drop of vanilla (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Mix dry dough ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, salt) in a bowl.
Add milk and melted butter to the bowl and stir it together until it forms a dough. Don’t overmix—just until it comes together.
Roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle (about ¼ inch thick).
Spread soft butter over the dough, then sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly.
Roll it up from the long side like a log. Slice into about 8 pieces.
Place buns in a greased baking dish (they can be touching). Brush the tops with a bit more melted butter.
Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden on top.
Drizzle with glaze after they cool for a few minutes.
